Hello and nice to meet you! My name is Emily O'Boyle and I was born and raised in Woodinville, Washington. I attended the University of Washington after high school and graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Sociology in 2009. I then went straight to graduate school at Seattle Pacific University and graduated with a Master of Arts in Teaching degree and my Washington state teaching certificate, in 2011. I spent the next two years in the North Mason School district, first as an English Language Learners paraprofessional then as a 1st grade teacher. We then moved to Snoqualmie in November of 2013 and I began my job at Opstad as the Title 1 Math Specialist.
I married my husband in November of 2013 (that was a busy month!) and we "adopted" our precious puppy in March of 2014! We love having a little "fur baby"--she keeps us on our toes and has added so much fun to our lives! We decided to move out to Snoqualmie (after living in Seattle) to get back to that small town feel and a slower pace of life. After living in Snoqualmie for a year, we became homeowners in Issaquah in December 2014! My husband has never lived anywhere but Seattle, and he has loved EVERY minute of being in the "valley"! I'm so thankful for the opportunity to remain at Opstad, and am so very excited to be continuing as a 2nd grade teacher!
Let's start exploring!
